This dear little boy is the son of a couple of American scientists who have been our neighbours for the last year. They will be leaving to go home to New Mexico at the end of the month. We will miss them and I think they will miss this part of the world – but will have a souvenir of their time here and that wonderful part of a child’s life to look at on the wall.
Hi Judy – I always read your blog postings, even though I don’t comment as often as I used to. This is another beautiful painting! A painting that has everything – enchanting sunlight on the child’s face and head and on the water. Even a bit of sun glint off the pebbles on the beach. Great atmospheric perspective on those distant mountains. And what character in the boy’s face.
